Under My Sink...

Until a few weeks ago when I looked under my sink I averted my eyes and tried to shut the doors quickly. Finally I could take it no longer!

When Barry and the big girls were at the Father Daughter Retreat I put that on my list of things to do. Audrey and I were have a "Girls Night In". I had never lined under the sink when I put the shelf liner in the other cabinets when we moved in. I went to WM and picked out some neat stuff...cannot remember the name... It is like a fabric almost and you can throw it in the washer if it gets dirty. I thought that was pretty cool. Anyway, it is red gingham. So we pulled everything out and cleaned then cut the stuff and put it in. (All the while I was holding Audrey on my lap and she was crying. When Dad and the big girls left she was convinced they were going to Chuck E. Cheese without her. ????!!!) I threw away a bunch of stuff and chunked my "cleaning caddy"~no matter what those articles in women's magazines say I never carried that thing around and saved myself steps. I did see a neat pattern for a cleaning apron the other day and think I might have Nicole whip one up for me.

I was able to move my mop bucket under there and put my supplies in that instead. While all my closet happy friends may not think that is a big deal, I was then able to put my vacuum in the broom closet instead of a corner of my bedroom. THAT was nice. There is nothing like the romance of being able to stare at your vacuum from bed... We have two small closets for FIVE people, four of which are females! Does that sound like a sad enough story to get me on one of those makeover shows? That is the only time I knowingly covet~when I see walk-in closets. Sigh.

All that to say, I don't cringe now when I have to look under the sink and that makes me happy! This has to be a female thing~and probably an obsessive control freak female thing.

With that task accomplished and Audrey reduced to snuffling we were able to pig out on Buffalo strips (and naked strips for Audge), blue cheese, baked yukon gold potatoes and celery. "We" also watched cop shows and then checked all the doors and windows. LOL! Somehow I survived the night~only our third apart since we have been married~but I did not get much sleep. (Awaiting Denise's comments... Grin...)

Love,
Shawna
