This is the newest addition to our family, our great-niece, Lily Paige. I had the honor of witnessing her birth last night. As a woman I know that there is nothing more personal in the life of a mother and I thank my niece, April, for allowing me to be there. Birth is a terribly wonderful thing. You know the pain the mother is experiencing yet you also know the joy that the pain brings. Genesis 3:16 says, "...I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception, in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children..." While I know that this is a consequence of the fall I also wonder... There is such pain involved in bringing forth a child. I always felt such an awe after giving birth and deep down in my heart I felt that something that came at such a cost was a treasure. Congratulations to Jon, April and big sister Chloe! Lily Paige is a little treasure! We all love you so very much!!
